The Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin | LEIZ is headed by Professor Dr Josef Wieland who holds the Endowed Chair of Institutional Economics - Organizational Governance, Integrity Management & Transcultural Leadership.
From 1995 through 2013 Wieland was Professor of General Business Administration, with the focus on economic and business ethics, at the Hochschule Konstanz (HTWG), the director of the "Kooperatives Promotionskolleg" (Cooperative Doctoral Program) there, as well as the director of the "Konstanz Institut für WerteManagement (KleM)" (Konstanz Institute on Value Management).
Additionally, he is the academic director of The Centre for Business Ethics (ZfW) and founder and chairman of the Forum "Compliance & Integrity - Anwenderrat für Wertemanagement". Since 2012, Wieland has been the chairman of the "Deutsches Netzwerk Wirtschaftsethik (DNWE)", as well as a member of the CSR forum of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. In 1999, he was awarded the Max Weber Prize for Corporate Ethics by the BDI, and in 2004 the "Forschungspreis des Landes Baden-Württemberg" (Research Prize by the State of Baden-Württemberg).
