UN, GIZ, BMZ, EU - numerous actors are active in international cooperation and offer a wide range of career paths. What paths can lead to a career in development policy and international cooperation after graduation? In this event, a ZU alumna, an alumnus of the Carlo Schmid Programme and a staff member of the European Union will talk about their experiences and career opportunities in German, European and international development cooperation. This event offers students of all bachelor and master programs at ZU the opportunity to get an overview of certain career options and to exchange ideas with the speakers.
The event provides additional information about DAAD funding for internships in international and EU organizations within the framework of the Carlo Schmid Programme, which Heiner Janus led to the Office for Economic and Social Council Support and Coordination at the UN Secretariat. Marie-Lena Hutfils, graduate of MA PAIR at ZU, will refer to her experiences at Germanwatch and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Stephan Baertges, currently working at the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, will give some insights into his career with the European Union, including the European External Action Service.
