Since the fall semester of 2013 Margit Osterloh has been Visiting Professor at Zeppelin University.
In 1981 Margit Osterloh was awarded her doctoral degree at the Freie Universität Berlin, in 1990 she received her postdoctoral degree (professorial teaching qualification) at the Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Until her retirement in 2009, she was Full Professor of Business Administration at the University of Zurich. From 2010 to 2013 she was Professor of Management Science at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, UK. She is also the research director of CREMA (Center for Research in Economics, Management and the Arts) in Zurich and Basel.
Margit Osterloh holds an honorary doctorate from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and was a member of the German Science Council until 2011. She has held several supervisory board seats and administrative mandates in Switzerland and Germany. She has been a member of the Academic Advisory Board of Zeppelin University since 2013.
The research areas of Margit Osterloh include theories of organizations and theories of the firm, innovation & technology management, knowledge management, philosophy of science, gender economics, corporate governance, and research governance.
