The interdisciplinary conference: Cooperating in value-creating networks – A relational view on Sept 8th and 9th 2022, at the ESSEC campus in Cergy near Paris, will discuss current issues in the governance of value networks. The thematic reference point of the discussion will be the research program of Relational Economics. Relational Economics deals with the creation of value through the productive governance of long-term inter-sectoral cooperation of economic, political, and civil society players. During the conference, their mechanisms, forms, and processes of value creation will be discussed under the headline of regional-global network governance procedures.
Correspondingly, leading experts from the fields of economics, business administration, organizational theory, sociology, political science, cultural studies, network theory, and other disciplines of social theory will tackle the following questions: What resources does a regional-global network need for its stability and further development? What strategies and new business models can be developed on the basis of co-specialization in regional-global networks? How can technology transfer and access to knowledge be accelerated? What role is played by so-called "soft factors" such as leadership, the morale of the players, the handling of cultural complexity, and the ability to develop new cultural commonalities?
