Doctoral Program: "Ethics and Responsible Leadership"

At the beginning of 2014, the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin (LEIZ) and the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WZGE) jointly established a doctoral program. The discourse and doctoral platform is sponsored by the Karl-Schlecht Foundation (KSG) and provides scholarships to motivated and internationally oriented doctoral candidates who delve into questions of good management in global contexts.

The program, developed by Professor Dr Josef Wieland and Professor Dr Dr Karl Homann, offers a unique platform for research in the field of economic and business ethics. It connects:

  • subject-specific qualification of the doctoral candidates
  • expert knowledge of leading business ethicists (Professor Dr Dr Karl Homann, Professor Dr Josef Wieland, Professor Dr Andreas Suchanek, and many more)
  • practical fora, project studies, lectures, and linking of participants with economics and business.

The objective of this program is to compile theoretically grounded and practically relevant contributions for responsible management in global competition and thereby to shape the discourse in academia, corporations, and the general public.
