The Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin | LEIZ is a platform for interdisciplinary, transcultural and intersectoral research, teaching and training on the challenges of leadership excellence in a globalized world.
LEIZ contributes to: governance economics, organizational theory, business ethics, psychology of ethical decision-making and leadership ethics. The Methods Center was founded in February 2015 as a cross-sectional institution for methodological support of research and teaching at Zeppelin University. In addition to courses in empirical methods and statistics, it also offers consulting for students and staff in the methods lab.
The goal of the newly created methods lab is to make students even more familiar with IT-supported scientific research methods. Future seminars will therefore focus, among other things, on working with statistical software and teaching programming skills. The equipment includes 41 networked workstations, which are available to students and scientists for working on their research projects or business ideas. In addition, content-related and methodological courses as well as research projects, especially in the areas of "Big Data" or "Future of the Working World", are being planned.

The Research Center for Political Communication at Zeppelin University is an interdisciplinary platform for the study of political communication processes, for impulses in teaching and further education, and for scientific services.
The ZPK pursues the goal of investigating the strategic communication and strategic capability of organizations (companies, associations, foundations, NGOs) vis-à-vis politics and administration in research projects, strengthening them in the undergraduate BA and MA study programs, and at the same time positioning itself as a mediator at the interface between theory and practice. In addition, the ZPK is a platform for dialogue between research and practice in political communication.
The ZPK's fields of action include energy and the environment, digitization and infrastructure, social and labor market policy, demography and innovations.
Among other things, the research group is dedicated to the theoretical and empirical analysis of voting and election procedures with a special focus on the German electoral system. Research also deals with the consequences of electoral systems for voting behavior, especially with respect to strategic voting. Experimental research examines the conditions under which distributional rules, e.g., with respect to taxes and transfer payments, are perceived as fair and legitimate. Other topics include attitudes toward migration and refugees, the consequences of social inequality for voting behavior and turnout, the structures of party competition, and the study of how voter segments marginalized by globalization can be politically integrated.
