The certificate course is aimed at professionals who commission or implement studies, evaluations or expert reports and focuses on two main areas: Firstly, participants learn about different concepts and application examples of computer-based text analysis. Secondly, participants learn the basics of text mining using the programming language R. Previous knowledge is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

Contents

| Practical introduction to the programming language R and the basics of computer-aided text analysis with R

| Extensive theoretical and conceptual overview of current text mining methods with application examples from research, taking into account current AI applications such as chat GPT

| Opportunity to exchange ideas and networking in a relaxed atmosphere at Lake Constance

Added Value

ZU

Text analytical methods allow a more systematic and efficient review, processing and evaluation of large amounts of data. Participation in the certificate course enables participants to design and analyze the use of computer-based text analysis in the context of studies, evaluations or expert reports. In addition, participants will be able to develop simple text analysis procedures independently after successfully completing the certificate course.
