MA Pioneering in Arts, Media & the Creative Industries | AMC

One-year master's in Culture, Media & the Creative Industries

Zeppelin University also offers one-year master's programs. To qualify for the one-year master’s program in Pioneering in Arts, Media & the Creative Industries, you will will need an undergraduate degree in Communications or Cultural Sciences with at least 240 ECTS points. Applicants with a qualification in an unrelated subject can unfortunately not be admitted to this program.

Structure & content

The structure and content of the one-year master's in Pioneering in Arts, Media & the Creative Industries are based on the two-year master's program of the same name. The module descriptions for that program also apply to the one-year master's.


Foundational phase in 1st semester (0-12 ECTS)

  • Philosophy of Science & Research Design
  • 2 Advanced Methods Workshops
  • Basics in Economics
  • Basics in Management


Required elective modules in 1st & 2nd semesters (24-36 ECTS)

  • to be chosen from the following competency fields of the two-year MA AMC program: “Media & Digital Communication”, “Arts & Culture”, “Markets & Management”, “Interdisciplinary Section”
  • 2 required elective modules can be replaced with interdisciplinary modules or the “Independent Project in Media, Culture & Entrepreneurship” module
  • 3 required elective modules can be replaced with the “Research Project” module


Master's phase in 2nd semester (24 ECTS)

  • Master's thesis
  • Thesis defense


If the ZU|plus option is chosen, both of the workshops and the TandemCoaching can also be attended.
