"Thanks to the interdisciplinary orientation of my master's program at Zeppelin University, I feel optimally prepared for my doctorate to penetrate complex issues in an integrative way."

Clemens Krüger, CME Master graduate 2023

More than ever before, decision-makers and entrepreneurs are being confronted with issues that can no longer be resolved with a traditional economics approach or a standard management qualification.

It is not just business schools that regularly underestimate the fact that the future viability of organizations and economic developments will be heavily influenced by how we structure the pace and complexity of the social, industrial and technological transformation.

Description of CME master's program

We believe in variety within depth. We believe in all-rounders who can specialize, and interdisciplinary experts who can be employed where disciplines cannot be identified – because economic problems are no respecters of specialist disciplinary boundaries.

In keeping with the ideal of a general entrepreneurial qualification, we are convinced that the combination of Business Administration & Political Economics with aspects of Communication & Cultural Sciences and Political & Administrative Sciences, will enable you to meet the complex leadership and management challenges of the 21st century – including the digital transformation, complex and international organizational structures, and the fragmentation of markets – with increased composure. Our main aim is to make you more sensitive to complex and interdisciplinary problems – because intelligent and sustainable decision-making requires more than just the accumulation of specialist knowledge.

For pre-thinkers and post-thinkers: our CME master for in-depth study.

Focus of CME master's program

As the constructive and responsible instigators, founders and leaders of tomorrow, we demand a lot from you today – and we know that you will be equally demanding of us. They say that economists like to optimize. Well, how about optimizing your analytical and learning abilities in our CME master's program?

Expand and consolidate your specialist knowledge by prioritizing a topic of your choosing from the following areas:

  • Family Business
  • Sustainable Transport & Mobility
  • Leadership & Relational Societies
  • Sustainable Finance & Accounting

They also say that a lack of discipline results in the need to consistently (re)integrate entrepreneurship into science, teaching and practice. Our CME master's program will task you with conducting your own individual research, and will equip you with the skills to do so – if you are open to it.

Bring along your questions and we will systematically and critically challenge traditional and current theories, business models, organizational and leadership modes, as well as their associated social systems – not just for your thesis, but also as part of a curricular (yet optional) research project. We believe that this will help you to acquire individual, internationally applicable and innovative skills which you will be able to productively apply to your career, be that in skills-intensive public spheres, non-profit and private spheres or in science, thus equipping you to find novel answers to the economic questions of tomorrow. Are you with us?
