Verena Burtscher studied Public Management & Governance at ZU and now works as the Director of the Co-ordination Office for Alumni and Cultural & Student Activities at the University of Liechtenstein.
"From the university to the university. Studying Public Management & Governance doesn't prepare you for a specific occupational area – we had to create our own jobs. That's what (ZU President) Stephan A. Jansen warned us, and that's exactly what it came to. Dealing with challenges and finding creative and often 'interim' approaches under pressure, wanting to work on something and achieve it, thinking differently and being able to stand up for it – it all influenced me. It's also important to remember that there is a solution for everything and coming up with it is just great fun."
"…I get a little nostalgic. Back then the time was just right. There was incredible potential for development on a creative playing field. I was alongside employees, lecturers, and students who all had an exciting story to tell. I still keep in contact with lots of people, some of them very special friends, and always notice the close ties between ZU students in Liechtenstein or alumni when they're in town."
