Chair of Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneurship

Profile

What are the special challenges and chances of family entrepreneurship? Which new business models are successful in the market - and why they and not different ones? Which (additional) markets exist for already existing (technological) solutions and can they be discovered systematically? Which role do users play in the innovation process? Under which conditions does it make sense to involve company external problem solvers and experts into entrepreneurial processes?

Together with students and entrepreneurs we carry out research on problems and solutions in the complex and conflicting areas of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. Our students experience entrepreneurship in real innovation and start-up projects.

In teaching and research we thus cooperate closely with leading national and international research institutions, as well as with small and large, existing and developing ambitious companies. International cooperations and co-authorships in research thus exist, among others, with the Universität Bern, the Universitá Bocconi Milano, the Copenhagen Business School, Harvard Business School, der University of Innsbruck, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Cranfield School of Management or the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
