Study Fees

as an investment in your professional future

Studying at Zeppelin University costs more than at state universities because we are a private foundation university. So why study privately at ZU and not at a state university without tuition fees?

Why do you pay study fees at Zeppelin University?

With your studies, you lay the foundation for your future and your later professional success. Accordingly, individual support and the development of your own strengths is particularly important. At a state university with several thousand to ten thousand students, it is difficult to provide individual support. In the lecture halls, you are one student among many, and the relationship with the teaching staff is often distanced and characterized by frontal teaching due to the size of the cohort.

"I can recommend this degree program without reservation, I have also studied at state universities in my academic career [...] and I have to say that the advantages of ZU are evident at all levels."

L.C., STUDYCHECK, 2025

At Zeppelin University, we are convinced that studying can be better. In order to realize this, we are a privately sponsored foundation university. As a private university, ZU is system-accredited, which corresponds to the highest level of national quality accreditation. In addition, ZU is one of the few private universities in Germany with the right to award doctorates and habilitations. All degree courses offered at Zeppelin University are accordingly recognized by the state. A degree from ZU corresponds in its formal form to a degree from a state university. With small seminar sizes, practical orientation, innovative teaching formats and a committed community, we create a learning environment for pioneers in which you can develop and try out your personality. This gives rise to ideas that are bigger than yourself.

Such a special degree program generates costs that cannot be covered solely by the ZU foundations and friends and supporters of the university. The remaining third of the cost of your studies is covered by tuition fees.

Study fees for full-time Bachelor's and Master's programs

Depending on your preference, tuition fees can be paid either per semester or monthly (small surcharge). A one-off payment of the total amount is not possible. The amount of the tuition fees depends on the respective degree program.

You can find the tuition fees for our part-time courses on the ZU Exective Education course pages.

Semester payment

With semester payment, you pay the tuition fees per semester (in the semester). The fees are always collected in January and September. In the 4-year Bachelor's program, this means 8 payments (standard period of study) and in the 2-year Master's program 4 payments (standard period of study).
