Criteria for a Master’s course of study

Applicants for admission to a master’s study program at Zeppelin University can be accepted if they have cumulatively fulfilled the prerequisites for admission to a state university (§ 70 (2) (4); §§ 58, 59, 60 of the law on universities and Berufsakademien in Baden-Wuerttemberg [LHG]), i.e. if they …


  • have obtained the university entrance qualification or an equivalent certificate
  • have acquired an undergraduate degree at a nationally recognized university or an equivalent certificate
  • provide very good German or English language skills, depending on the course of study
  • have successfully taken part in the Zeppelin University selection procedure
  • For the General Management master’s study program, a corporate management and economics internship required for enrollment with a duration of around 240 hours must have been completed before the start of studies.


NOTE:

Students with an undergraduate degree in a different subject can also apply for the master’s program in Politics, Administration & International Relations | PAIR.


The admissions requirement for a master’s degree in Corporate Management & Economics | CME is a successfully completed bachelor study program in management and economics, as these courses are designed as a consecutive management and economics program. For those with interests in other subjects, the master’s degree in General Management | GEMA offers a management and economics program with activities focusing on the foundations and methods of economics. In cases of doubt, we would be happy to offer you a review of your bachelor’s transcript to help clarify your available options.


Our programs International Relations & Global Politics | IRGP and Corporate Management & Economics | CME are English-only programs. Very good English language skills are required (no proof necessary). German language skills are desirable, but not a mandatory admission requirement.

Admissions criteria for a one-year master’s degree

  • Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a different subject unfortunately cannot be considered for the one-year master’s qualifications.
  • For a one-year master’s study program in Corporate Management & Economics, you will need an undergraduate degree in management and economics with at least 240 ECTS points.
  • For the one-year master’s study program in Politics, Administration & International Relations, you will need an undergraduate degree in politics or administrative sciences with at least 240 ECTS points.

Applicants who do not have German as a native language will need to provide evidence of their knowledge of German (Level C1). At the request of the university, applicants must provide the relevant evidence within the prescribed limitation period, and must also submit a declaration that they have not definitively failed an examination in a study program at any other German university (in a subject closely related to their chosen course at Zeppelin University), that they have not lost the right to sit examinations for any other reason, and that they are not currently involved in any ongoing examination proceedings.

Applicants with a Chinese, Mongolian or Vietnamese university entrance qualification must also provide, in addition to the certification for higher education entrance qualification for the Federal Republic of Germany, the Certificate of Academic Evaluation (“Zertifikat der Akademischen Prüfstelle”) issued by the corresponding German Embassy.
