History of Zeppelin University

The still young history of Zeppelin University (ZU) is a success story. After its founding in 2003, not only did its study programs regularly land at the top of the CHE university rankings, but its innovative and socially relevant research and teaching, as well as its ZU ZF Campus in Fallenbrunnen, inaugurated in 2014, have been showered with prizes and awards.

Following its leapfrog growth and economic consolidation, ZU - true to the motto "anyone can follow well-trodden paths, after all" and following its namesake Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin - is always on the lookout for new paths. ZU aims to become climate-neutral by 2035, and its scientists want to lead politics, culture and business into a sustainable, digitized and socially responsible future.
