Database for business administration and economics that covers a broad range of topics in these subject areas.
The database offers comprehensive search possibilities in the areas of communication sciences and mass media. It includes the two databases "CommSearch" (bibliographic information on articles in journals of communication sciences), and "Mass Media Articles Index" (bibliographic information on articles in journals and monographs related to mass media and communication sciences).
Topics include communication theory, mass media, linguistics, rhetoric, and sociolinguistics.
Dafne offers contemporary and historical annual financial statements of over 800.000 German companies.
The company reports include in full details: contact details, business activity, (WZ codes and job description), detailed balance as well as profit and loss accounting, financial characteristic factors, microgeographical keys, import and export rates, managers, subcompanies, proprietors and stock prices.
Each company’s efficiency can be graphed through integrated schemata and graphs. The society structure and groups of companies can be pictured in a tree diagram. Economic information and the rating of the CREDITREFORM e.V. form the data basis.
Note on use: There is a restriction on data transfer for data fields that could be used for acquisition. Queries are limited to a total of 16,000 companies (e.g. address data, bank details, personal data (managers, board of directors, supervisory board, etc.), commercial register numbers, industry codes). A corresponding query should therefore be limited by the search beforehand.
DBIS is a cooperative service for the use of scientific databases. The database information system contains over 14465 entries, of which more than 6162 databases are freely available over the Internet.
The DBIS of ZU is a selection of databases and not the complete DBIS.

The F.A.Z. BibloNet contains more than 1.6 million articles (from 1993) from
The F.A.Z. Archive (1949-1992) contains over 2.8 million retrodigitized articles from more than 13,000 issues of the FAZ and its local section.
The FR contains the Frankfurter Rundschau with over 2 million articles in full text since 1995. Also included are the various issues of the Lokalrundschau and the Stadtteil-Rundschau.
Since April 2022, multimedia content has been included in the form of over 1000 podcasts.

JSTOR provides access to over 12 million articles from journals, books, and source materials. 75 subject areas are covered. Over 2600 journals are covered (more recent volumes may be embargoed by a moving wall (embargo of about 2-5 years before the current volume)).
Over 70,000 books are available as DRM-free files. Source materials are grouped into four collections: Global Plants, 19th Century British Pamphlets, Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa, and World Heritage Sites: Africa.

Political Science Complete (PSC) is an internationally oriented database of political sciences, addressing the topics:
political theory, comparative politics, international relations, law and legislation, humanitarian issues, and globalization.
It provides access to more than 3100 academic journals as well as full-texts from 700 journals, e-books, and 48000 conference papers (conference journals), among others of the American Political Science Association.
APA PsycARTICLES is the full-text journal database of the American Psychological Association (APA). PsycARTICLES indexes articles from all areas of psychology, including basic research.
The full text database contains articles from over 100 journals (peer reviewed) of the APA and other leading publishers / organizations.
The database contains articles from 1894 onwards and is updated weekly.
PsycINFO is produced by the American Psychological Association (APA). It is a bibliographic database on psychology and related fields such as psychiatry, sociology, education, anthropology, and linguistics, provided they are relevant to psychology.
Articles from about 2,500 journals are evaluated. In total, PsycINFO offers about 60000 new entries per year with weekly updates.
Refinitiv Workspace for Students is a service that provides information mainly for financial professionals on commodities, equities, fixed income and hedge funds, foreign exchange & money market and wealth management. The database provides access to key market data, charts, time series analysis and streaming news from Reuters and other financial institutions, as well as market research firms for price analysis and global indices of individual stocks. It also includes charts and fundamentals, proprietary data and analytics to provide actionable insights into the global equity market. Datastream's database can also be accessed via the platform.
ZU members can use Refinitiv Workspace for Students including Datastream from any location via a web version as well as a desktop version. To use the service, you must apply for personalized access. For short-term needs, the Work-space terminal (formerly Eikon terminal) in the library, which requires a reservation, is still available.

Sage Journals Online contains journal titles with a focus on social sciences as well as humanities and medicine. The journals are searchable via EDS Journals.
A multidisciplinary abstract- and citation data bank for scientific literature and high end online resources (peer-reviewed).

Furthermore, Scorpus allows references and citations for scientific articles that allow citation analysis (Who quotes who? Who is quoted by whom?). The evaluation starts from 1996 as publication year.

The comprehensive full-text database of social sciences contains more than 2,1 million data sets from approximately 4,200 different journals. Regarding their content, these data sets are linked by means of a thesaurus. Abstracts are provided for the articles of more than 1,300 journals.
"SocINDEX with Full Text" provides the full-text versions of more than 860 journals, partly reaching back as far as 1908. Additionally, there are full-text versions of more than 830 e-books and 16,800 conference papers. The continuously updated authors´ profiles provide biographic and bibliographic information on more than 25,000 authors.
Archive access from 2000 - 2014
Article database including more than 3.45 million titles, comprising all areas of political and social sciences including the neighboring disciplines of social medicine and psychology that are oriented towards natural sciences. It draws from approximately 2,500 academic journals from more than 50 disciplines of social sciences, and contains all relevant articles from additional 3,300 periodicals from medicine and natural sciences. Type of reference: bibliographic information including the sources cited in the listed publications. 60 percent of the references include an abstract. Weekly addition of approximately 2,700 references.

STATISTA is a statistics portal that bundles statistical data from various institutes and sources.
It provides access to facts and figures on more than 80,000 topics from more than 18000 different sources.
Available metadata such as source, publication date, number of respondents, etc. are published for each statistic, making the information verifiable on STATISTA. Data sets are processed according to scientific criteria.
