Zeppelin University (ZU) understands science not as a mere activity or profession, but as an expression of a mindset committed to argument and plural discourse.
In research and teaching, ZU places particular emphasis on bidirectional transfer: societal perspectives enrich academic discourse, while academic insights are translated into practical applications.

As a research-oriented university, our three academic departments combine their disciplinary roots with an interdisciplinary way of thinking and working.

Researchers at ZU are committed to the principles of good scientific work. Both our Ethics Committee and our Ombudsperson for Self-Regulation in Science deal with all aspects of safeguarding good scientific practice. In addition to this the Academic Advisory Board advises the Academic Board on important academic issues, in particular in the areas of research, teaching, transfer, young academics, internationalisation and the general academic strategic orientation of the university.

The Research Support Office at ZU provides comprehensive support to researchers in acquiring third-party research funding, manages the internal research support system FUSY, advises on Open Science and, together with the University Library, is responsible for the research documentation system ZUdoc.
Within the framework of its consistent research orientation, ZU attaches the highest importance to the education and support of early career researchers.

Zeppelin University Graduate School | ZUGS combines the interdisciplinary research horizon with disciplined specialized knowledge for the two academic degrees.
