Open Science at Zeppelin University

„Strategies and processes that aim to consistently use the opportunities of digitization to make all components of the scientific process openly accessible and reusable via the Internet. The aim is to open up new opportunities for science, society and industry in dealing with scientific findings“ (Mission Statement of the AG Open Science)


At Zeppelin University, open science includes open access publishing, research data management, scientific communication, and free software.

Open Science Policy

The Open Science Policy of Zeppelin University was adopted on 07.12.2022.

Open Access Publication Fund

Since 2023, an open access publication fund has been available at Zeppelin University, which can be used to (co-)finance open access publication costs by Zeppelin University scientists if certain requirements are met.
