FreiDok plus is a research documentation system where metadata and information about all fields of research can be linked:
The major objective of FreiDok plus is to increase the visibility of the research output. This is realised by several technical strategies such as the exchange of metadata with other institutions, the usage of standard data as well as the provision of standardised interfaces. Via these interfaces metadata are automatically distributed to relevant institutions (e.g. DNB, SWB, other universities, centres of excellence,...). This considerably increases the visibility of the metadata and thus makes research more accessible on both a local and a global scale.
As a side effect, web portals for researchers and institutions, which can be configured and customised, are generated to document the research activities and results.
