Last week, Jens Gessler, project manager of the Center for Mobility Studies, presented groundbreaking findings from the Gaia-X 4 Advanced Mobility Services research project at the 19th DortmunderAutoTag. With 19 companies, the project shows how efficient and sovereign data exchange in the mobility data space forms the basis for networked and autonomous mobility services.
A central element of the Gaia-X 4AMS project is the institutional role model developed by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang H. Schulz. This model defines the roles and interactions for the economic system architecture of the data space and forms the basis for a sustainable mobility ecosystem.
At the 19th DortmunderAutoTag, the focus was on modern technologies such as lidar, radar, sensors and operational design domain (ODD), which are shaping the future of smart mobility and intelligent transport systems and paving the way for autonomous driving.

A special thanks goes to the Chair of Control Systems Engineering at TU Dortmund and the IHK Dortmund for their organization and partners as CARIAD, Fraunhofer ENAS and EMC Test NRW GmbH. We look forward to working with our partners to research and develop further innovations in the mobility sector to make mobility's future more sustainable and safer.
