Dr. Jessica G. Schwengber Hosts the LEIZ Local Hub

Dr. Jessica G. Schwengber, Managing Director of the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin, will host a LEIZ Local Hub at Zeppelin University (Fallenbrunnen 3, Room 1.05, Friedrichshafen) on Thursday, 26 November 2026, from 13.00 to 14.30. The event is organised in collaboration with the World Commerce & Contracting Academic Symposium 2026 and is dedicated to this year's theme “Governing Value in Uncertain Ecosystems: Risk, Adaptation, and Shared Accountability Beyond the Firm”.

At its centre is the question of how value can be governed when organisations work together in uncertain ecosystems and risks no longer stop at the boundaries of a single firm. Two short introductory talks will frame the discussion. Dr. Schwengber will give a general overview of the disruptions of our time and the challenges they pose for governing value creation. Dr. Matthias Niedenführ, Head of Leadership and Innovation in Asia at LEIZ, will address geopolitical and cultural considerations when concluding contracts with international partners in Asia.

Afterwards, Dr. Schwengber and Dr. Niedenführ will co-moderate an interactive brainstorming session in two discussion groups, in which participants bring in their different perspectives and jointly develop recommendations. The two will present the results at the international Academic Symposium on 3 December 2026.

A coffee and cake break leaves room for informal discussions and networking. Students, colleagues at ZU, and anyone outside the university who is interested in the topic are very welcome. The event will be held in English so that international participants can join as well.
