The final demonstration of the Gaia-X 4 ROMS (Support and Remote Operation of Automated and Networked Mobility Services) research project took place yesterday in Hamburg. But the project is far from over: Its duration has been extended until February 2025 in order to achieve further groundbreaking developments.
The project has made significant progress in recent years. The CfM has made significant contributions to this. Hanspeter Rychlik presented our work on 42 innovative roles for the data space, which were developed together with the Traffic Telematics research group at Saarland University of Applied Sciences. These roles form the backbone of the project's vision, architecture and governance structure. The basis for this is the institutional role model by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang H. Schulz.

The challenges and opportunities arising from decentralized and data-driven mobility are at the heart of the project. Gaia-X 4 ROMS creates a framework that focuses not only on technical solutions, but also on the organization and management of data spaces that enable the mobility of the future.
The CfM would like to thank all partners for their excellent cooperation. Together we are working to make the mobility of the future sustainable, efficient and innovative.
