On July 23, 2025, the Chair of Virtual Reality Systems at Zeppelin University was represented at the XR Roadshow in Ulm at the invitation of the technology company HENSOLDT. Prof. Dr. Raphael Zender and his team - Özgür Eren and Marius Hupperich - presented current research work on the use of immersive technologies in educational contexts.
XR applications from vocational training and sustainable urban development could be tried out at two interactive stands. The focus was on action-oriented learning approaches and energy-conscious planning with virtual reality. The exchange with HENSOLDT employees and external guests provided valuable impulses - especially on the role of XR in education and training. Several discussions revealed points of contact for more in-depth collaboration.
The chair is continuously committed to making the topic of XR visible as an educational technology in the region and developing it further - including through the new Immersion Lab on the ZF campus in Fallenbrunnen.
