Empowering Data Spaces for Future Mobility - Exploring Organizational Roles

Aim
The article examines how data spaces can be effectively designed to support future mobility services. The researchers build on the Gaia-X initiative, which focuses on sovereign and interoperable data exchange solutions. Particular attention is being paid to the organizational roles required in these data ecosystems to ensure the secure, efficient and sovereign exchange of mobility data.
Relevance
Data-based innovations are essential for the mobility of the future. Whether networking vehicle fleets, automated driving or digital services in transport - organizations everywhere are faced with the challenge of exchanging data securely yet flexibly. This publication shows how data spaces can serve as the basis for such collaborations without the individual providers losing sovereignty over their data.
