2026-05-26

Friedrichshafen/Weingarten. Zeppelin University (ZU) and Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) are intensifying their cooperation and creating new prospects for high-achieving graduates. A corresponding cooperation agreement has now been signed by ZU President Professor Dr. Anja Achtziger and RWU Rector Professor Dr. Thomas Spägele in the presence of Friedrichshafen's Lord Mayor and initiator Simon Blümcke.

With this cooperation, the two nationally and internationally recognized educational institutions are pooling their strengths at the interface of applied science and interdisciplinary research. "Cooperation is the key to success, especially in education. With the strong study programs offered by the two universities, we are keeping young people in the region. This is important for our economy and also for the social fabric and social cohesion," says Blümcke.

The agreement that has now been concluded provides for RWU students with a Bachelor's degree to receive an attractive reduction in tuition fees for the part-time Master of Science in Management | eMA MGMT at ZU in future. The aim is to enable talented young professionals to make a seamless transition from a Bachelor's degree with a business focus to a part-time Master's degree with a management focus - and to prepare them specifically for the challenges of digital transformation in business and society.

Under the overall theme of "Advancing Sustainable Change", the part-time Master of Science in Management | eMA MGMT offers a general management education that is supplemented by selected elements from other disciplines - including psychology, sociology and practical philosophy. By drawing on different theoretical perspectives, current research findings and advanced scientific methods, students will be able to design and implement innovative solutions for the complex business challenges of the 21st century.

"The cooperation is a great enrichment for us because we see it as an important step towards promoting educational careers and strengthening the academic location in the entire region," explains ZU President Professor Dr. Anja Achtziger. RWU Rector Professor Dr. Thomas Spägele adds: "We are very pleased about the partnership, as it underlines our joint aspiration to create innovative study programs and offer students excellent development opportunities."
