On September 24, 2024, the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin (LEIZ) hosted a kick-off event to present the LEIZ Case Studies, which focus on applying the theory of relational economics through concrete case examples.
Dr. Matthias Niedenführ, Senior Research Fellow at LEIZ, opened the event with an introduction to the theory of relational economics. This was followed by contributions from Dr. Jessica Schwengber and Tobias Grünfelder, who presented some of the existing case studies. These case studies are available on the LEIZ website.

A special student contribution was made by Hannah Schmidt and Gian Luca Lunau, who shared their experiences with the case studies in the classroom and explained how these studies enhanced their understanding of the "Relational Economy." Their reports demonstrated how valuable the application of theory to real-world economic scenarios can be for the learning process.
Ms. Katharina Springwald, a representative of the Karl Schlecht Foundation, also attended the event as part of her visit to LEIZ. Her visit highlighted the importance of transferring academic knowledge into practice – not only for students but also for companies and the general public.
In the future, the collection of case studies will be continuously expanded by researchers at LEIZ to further enhance access to practice-oriented research.
