Prof Matthias Weiss joins the LEIZ
The Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin is thrilled to announce that Professor Matthias Weiss, ZEPPELIN Chair of Innovation Management & Transformation will join the LEIZ team starting in January 2025. The research team of LEIZ welcomes Professor Weiss and is looking forward to jointly develop projects, collaborate on research ideas about innovation, relational economics, and transcultural management issues.
The ZEPPELIN Chair of Innovation Management & Transformation explores how organizational actors can ideate, develop, and implement new products, processes, and business models. In this regard, an emphasis in teaching and research is put on the human side of innovation management and how people can be led, managed, and supported to achieve innovative outcomes, especially in challenging situations. This includes the study of teamwork, of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in organizations, and of the effects of crises on innovators and entrepreneurs. This focus is crucial for providing evidence-based recommendations to help organizations respond to crises, such as wars, economic downturns, or the climate crisis, while leveraging opportunities from new technologies like AI.
