From 16 to 19 June 2026, the annual conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) took place in Kristiansand, Norway. Under the theme „Navigating High Waters", the conference foregrounded the question of how organisations and leaders remain capable of acting in times of profound disruption. LEIZ was represented by Dr. Jessica G. Schwengber and Dr. Quratul Aan, who both contributed their own research to the programme.
Dr. Quratul Aan presented findings from her doctoral research on the longevity of family businesses. Her work contributes to the ongoing debate on long-term business success and identifies the mechanisms that sustain family firms across generations.
Dr. Jessica G. Schwengber presented a paper co-authored with Prof. Dr. Josef Wieland on relational business models. The contribution builds on a Relational View, a perspective that understands economic activity as embedded in relationships. The paper transfers this perspective to business model innovation. At the centre of the paper stands the question of how companies can rethink their value creation in complex stakeholder networks.
With members from more than 60 countries, EURAM ranks among the most significant management research conferences in Europe. The participation of LEIZ underscores the visibility of its research in the international academic community. Further publications on the topics presented will follow in the coming months.
