Do you want to be able to concentrate fully on your studies during your bachelor's or master's program? With a student loan from KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau), or an education loan, you can secure targeted support to finance your living expenses while studying at Zeppelin University.

Who is eligible?

  • Bachelor and Master programs as a first or second degree
  • Doctoral degrees


Purpose of the loan
The KfW student loan will support you during your studies with a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 650 Euros per month – without loan security and independent from income or assets.

Who can apply?
Students of legal age at a state or state-recognized higher education institution located in Germany who are under the age of 44 on April 1st or October 1st prior to the start of financing and belong to one of the following groups:

  • German citizens with a domestic primary residence
  • EU citizens
  • So-called educational residents with a German primary residence and German higher education entrance qualificationg


Financing model

  • Monthly disbursement amount between 100 and 650 euros
  • Only accrued interest must be paid during the study period
  • Variable interest rate
  • Repayment begins after the grace period of 18 months starting from the last payment
  • Maximum repay period of 25 years

Who is eligible for an education loan?

  • Bachelor's and Master's students in the final years of their education

Purpose of the loan

The KfW education loans finances part of the cost of living during the final phase of studies. Monthly payments of 100, 200 or 300 euros, one-time payment of a partial sum possible, without collateral and independent of income.


Who can apply?

Students of full age at a state or state-recognized higher education institution located in Germany who are under the age of 35 and do not study longer than 12 semesters and


  • have passed the intermediate examination
  • are completing an additional, supplementary or postgraduate course of study
  • have completed the first part of a consecutive degree program or already have a degree in an undergraduate program and are in the postgraduate diploma, master's, or magister program.

Financing model

  • Payout amounts 100, 200 or 300 EUR
  • Only accrued interest must be paid during the study period
  • Variable interest rate
  • Repayment starts after the grace period of 4 years after the first disbursement. Monthly installment is always 120 EUR, in case of payments from further educational loan repayment is suspended until the last disbursement date.
  • Repayment phase depending on loan amount

Possibility of combining with other support programs

It is possible to combine the KfW student loan with other student support programs such as the government education loan or the BAföG student grant.


The education loan can be combined, for example, with the BAföG, the BAföG bank loan and the KfW student loan.
