The Lena-Weiss-Initiative was founded in 2003 by the brewer family Weiss, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Meckatzer Löwenbräu Brewery. The initiative strives to supports charitable projects, for example such that encourage the uplifting or integration of persons.

The Meckater Lena-Weiss-Initiative has put in place a 5,000.00€ project scholarship at Zeppelin University, with which student projects may be supported that exhibit qualities corresponding with the initiative’s funding purpose. The scholarship may be divided between projects if there are several interesting applications.
