ZU Scholarship | Undergraduate & graduate Programs

Zeppelin University is the top private university in Germany. Above all, we benefit from a diverse student body. That is why we award ZU scholarships to people who cannot afford tuition fees due to their socio-economic background and persons who bring exceptional characteristics to the table.

Who is the ZU scholarship offer aimed at?

When awarding scholarships, we take extraordinary commitment in social, cultural, ecological, political, or arts-related areas into account.

We also support young people who are simply different and whose experiences contribute to the diversity of a degree program and a university beyond performance-related success. For example:

  • Climate Savers
  • People affected by discrimination
  • Refugees
  • People with disabilities
  • First academic in family
  • Brains
  • First-year students with children
  • International Talents
  • Dyslexics
  • Dyscalculics
  • People with gaps in their CV

Background of the ZU Scholarship

The ZU scholarship is granted as a tuition fee waiver of 25, 50, 75 or 100 percent upon successful scholarship application for the duration of the regular period of studies and is aimed exclusively at first-year students.

Important: People with a ZU scholarship are ambassadors for Zeppelin University. They are expected to show special commitment to and for their university.

Please note that we can only award a limited number of ZU scholarships per student. This means that it is unfortunately not possible for us to consider every scholarship application.

How do I apply for a ZU scholarship?

The ZU scholarships are aimed at study starters of all programs offered at ZU.

The application for the scholarship takes place exclusively in the context of your application for a study place, i.e. before the start of your studies. In the online form, use the upload field for a letter of motivation for the scholarship. On the selection day, the selection committee will decide whether you will be admitted to the program; it will also make a recommendation on the granting of a scholarship. A few days after the selection day, you will receive a message about the outcome of your scholarship application together with the contract documents.

ZU scholarships are awarded exclusively within the framework of the selection process, i.e. before the start of studies.

Important: Applicants can only apply for one scholarship as part of their online application. After submitting the online application or successfully participating in one of our selection days, it is no longer possible to reapply for the ZU Scholarship or the ZU Scholarship for Graduates of Friedrichshafen Schools Scholarship.
