Beyond borders: Zeppelin University opens its doors for its Summer Festival on September 19

Friedrichshafen. Under the motto “Beyond borders.”, Zeppelin University (ZU) will open its ZF Campus of ZU in Fallenbrunnen to the public on Saturday, September 19. Starting at 2:00 p.m., anyone interested is invited to get to know the university, engage in conversation, and celebrate together. The program features academic insights and discussions, a look at the campus and the university, student initiatives, art and culture, and music. Admission is free.

The Summer Festival’s program explores its theme from various perspectives. Scholars and guests will address political, social, and personal boundaries—ranging from democracy and the welfare state to international perspectives and the limits of our consciousness. Among the guests is Professor Dr. Jhy-Wey Shieh, Taiwan’s representative to the European Union and in Belgium, who will participate in a discussion at the invitation of the student-run Club of International Politics e.V.

The Summer Festival will be opened at 2:00 p.m. by ZU President Professor Dr. Anja Achtziger and ZU Managing Director Professor Dr. Stephanie Heinecke. The Zeppelin University Society e.V. is also part of the program: Its chairman, Andreas Schell, will speak on the occasion of the association’s 20th anniversary. A piano concert will also take place to mark the anniversary. But the motto “Beyond borders.” is reflected not only in lectures and discussions. Visitors can get to know ZU through campus and library tours; the White Box is opening its current exhibition “The Time After – Friedrichshafen 1946”. Student initiatives offer insights into their work and invite visitors to participate and exchange ideas through their own activities. Celebrating together is also part of the summer festival: Food and drinks will be provided, and starting at 6 p.m., the student jazz band “Luftschiffkapelle” will take the stage.
