Digitalization and artificial intelligence are fundamentally changing the world of work. Universities are called upon to adapt to this change and to design their education in such a way that it meets the requirements of the present. As the course for the future is already set when selecting a degree programme, Zeppelin University (ZU) has decided to modernize its selection process.
The previous selection process relied on filtering out those applicants from the many different applicants who could be seen to fit the individual characteristics of ZU's interdisciplinary Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. However, this selective procedure, which was equivalent to an admission quota, is no longer up to date and will therefore be abolished. Firstly, ZU's educational portfolio has become more differentiated over time, making it more difficult to determine a general fit. And secondly, it can be observed that applicants' need for advice is significantly higher today than it used to be, because young people are still in an orientation phase at the time of application. For this reason, ZU is now pursuing the approach of dealing more intensively with the individual needs of applicants in order to recommend the right degree program at ZU in a more targeted manner and thus make it easier for them to enter the modern working world.
The new selection process is therefore intended to enable more young people who are still in an orientation phase of their lives to study at ZU. The selection interview now takes center stage: In the 45-minute selection interview with three representatives of the university, applicants have the opportunity to present their motivation, skills and personality and find out whether they are a good fit for ZU and whether ZU is a good fit for them.
The new selection procedure is valid immediately - deadline April 14. All further information on the selection procedure and the degree programs at ZU can be found online at: www.zu.de/bewerben
