ZF and ZU launch new podcast "ZF & ZU - Company and Campus"

2026-04-20

Friedrichshafen. Automotive supplier ZF and Zeppelin University (ZU) have been cooperating for many years to promote the exchange between academic research and business practice. The new joint podcast "ZF & ZU - Company and Campus", the first episode of which has now been released, provides an insight into this collaboration.

In the podcast, ZF and ZU aim to shed light on selected topics that both institutions deal with from their respective perspectives. In addition to generally relevant and current topics, inspiration comes in particular from the three ZF endowed chairs for communication sciences with a focus on digital communication, virtual reality systems and artificial intelligence.

"We want to show that research and corporate interests are not so far apart in some cases and that we face similar challenges - especially with regard to technical trends and digitalization," says Judith Reinbold, academic assistant at the Endowed Chair of Communication Sciences with a focus on Digital Communication. She hosts the podcast together with Dr. Jochen Mayer from the ZF press spokesperson team. He adds: "It is important to us to look at current topics that are relevant to the university and the company. It therefore made sense for us to start with artificial intelligence."

Two episodes are planned for each topic, in which a guest from ZU and ZF will report on their work. Prof. Dr. Florian Muhle, holder of the Endowed Chair of Communication Sciences with a focus on digital communication, and Matthias Schnur will kick things off. He works in the ZF communications department and supports the teams in the introduction of digital and AI solutions.

The first episode of the podcast "ZF & ZU - Company and Campus" is now available on all common audio and podcast platforms.
