ZU Summer Festival, themed “Beyond borders.” featuring a diverse program and many guests

The idea behind it was to turn the university into a place for encounters, exchange, and new perspectives—and, of course, for a joint summer festival. During the event, scholars and guests discussed political, social, and personal boundaries—ranging from democracy and the welfare state to international perspectives and the limits of our consciousness. Guided tours offered the chance to explore the campus, the library, and the current exhibition “The time after—Friedrichshafen 1946” in the White Box. Student initiatives showcased what takes shape at ZU beyond lecture halls and seminar rooms. The varied program was rounded out by activities organized by the student initiatives, a performance by the Luftschiffkapelle, and music and dance.
