Since the establishment of the university, all of ZU's study programs have been quality assured through program accreditation. In September 2013, after a lengthy peer review process, ZU achieved system accreditation, thereby attaining the highest level of national quality accreditation.
"With its approach Zeppelin University clearly stands out from what other colleges have to offer."
Prof Dr Peter Strohschneider | former chairman of the German Council of Science and Humanities
All 14 study programs at ZU – Bachelor's, Master's, and Part-Time Master's degrees – thereby comply with the quality standards and requirements of the German Accreditation Council (AR) and the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK).
The special recognition of the quality of our programs by the accreditation agencies relates to positioning, teaching staff, contentual orientation and specific teaching and learning formats as well as additional services. The programs on offer at ZU also occupy top spots in the current rankings. More information on that can be found here.
In addition, ZU was institutionally accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities as far back as 2009. In September 2011, on the recommendation of the German Council of Science and Humanities, ZU was also given the right to award doctoral degrees by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Arts and Sciences (MWK), thereby formally achieving scientific and research-oriented parity with the state universities.
