Friedrichshafen. A company's most valuable asset is its workforce. To be productive and successful, it needs well-trained and highly motivated employees. Demographic change and increasing specialization make skilled workers even more important as an entrepreneurial success factor. After all, they are no longer easy to replace.
But how can know-how and motivation be cultivated and improved to the same extent? This is probably the most important question that managers of the future will have to deal with. Only those HR and department managers who are able to respond to the individual needs of their employees as well as their own needs will create the breeding ground for a flourishing business.
Zeppelin University (ZU) in Friedrichshafen is launching a new Master's course in the fall semester to prepare young managers for these challenges in the world of work with extensive psychological skills: Psychology & Management | PSM.
The completely newly developed Master's course provides students with in-depth knowledge in psychology, management and digital transformation processes and enables them to analytically grasp complex organizational and digital issues, critically evaluate them and develop innovative solutions. Graduates will be able to apply psychological methods in organizational contexts, make evidence-based decisions and actively shape digital transformation processes.
"Zeppelin University has always aspired to train the managers of the future," says ZU President Professor Dr. Anja Achtziger, explaining the new course offering, "and with this Master's degree, it is once again living up to this expectation." Achtziger has held the Chair of Social and Business Psychology at ZU since 2012 and emphasizes the impact of psychologically trained managers: "Only those who understand their employees are able to exploit their full performance potential. Psychological knowledge pays off in every respect." Independence, the ability to reflect, problem-solving, communication and cooperation skills are systematically strengthened in this Master's course.
The two-year Master's degree course in Psychology & Management | PSM will start for the first time at ZU in the fall semester of 2026. Interested parties can now seek advice and apply. Further information on the program and the application procedure can be found on the ZU website at
