At this year's netforum 2025 organized by dtm Datentechnik Moll GmbH in Bregenz, the future of digital infrastructure was at the center of attention. As a partner institution, the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin and the Bodensee Innovationscluster of Zeppelin University were also represented, contributing scientific perspectives on leadership, responsibility, and ethics in technological transformation processes.
Prof. Dr. Josef Wieland, Director of LEIZ, was part of the Thursday panel on the topic “Europe’s Role in the Global Technology Race.” In the discussion moderated by Dietmar Dahmen, Prof. Wieland highlighted the ethical and cultural foundations of European leadership models. Prof. Dr. Wieland's contributions made clear that sustainable technological competitiveness is only possible on the basis of value-oriented leadership and shared responsibility. Other panelists included Jan Moll (CEO dtm group), Johannes Jakob (CEO and Co-Founder of whistle law), Petra Jenner (SVP and General Manager EMEA at Splunk), Dr. Tilo Steiger (ETH Zurich), and Volker Kaufmann (VIRZ Association).
The netforum provided a platform for intensive exchange between business, science, and politics. In addition to the panel discussions with representatives from leading technology and innovation fields, the keynotes by Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and Maks Giordano provided incisive insights into global power politics and the role of Artificial Intelligence in SMEs.
The Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin thanks dtm Datentechnik Moll GmbH for the successful organization and the invitation to participate in this forward-thinking dialogue.
