International Educational Expeditions

2024 | South Korea & Japan

The students traveled to Seoul and Busan for ILE2024, experienced South Korea's vibrant life and gained insights into the business world, for example at Sunil Dyfas and the German embassy. They continued on to Tokyo and Kyoto, where meetings with Japanese family businesses, the Family Business Network and visits to TRUMPF Japan and Komatsu were on the agenda.

2022 | USA & Mexico

The ILE2022 took the students to Silicon Valley and Mexico. They visited companies, institutions and important personalities (including Zeiss Innovation Center, Stanford University & Consulate General of Germany) to gain insights into current developments, the economic framework conditions and innovations in times of disruption.

2022 | USA & Mexico

After a visit to the Club Aléman in Buenos Aires, the ILE2014 took the eMA FESH students to the Universidad del Desarro, the Argentinian daily newspaper and several companies to learn more about the unique economic and cultural characteristics of the two countries.

2019 | South Africa & Namibia

Bei der ILE2019 besuchten die Studierenden des eMA FESH neben mehrerer Familienunternehmen in Johannesburg, Kapstadt & Windhuk, auch die Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung, die deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammer für das südliche Afrika und die NGO – Youn Bafana Soccer Academy.

2015| Japan & Taiwan

Für die ILE2015 reisten die Studierenden des eMA FESH nach Taiwan & Japan. Neben interessanten Einblicken in die jeweilige Kultur und Start-up Szene der beiden länder Länder, besuchten sie unter anderem PERI Japan K.K., die deutsche Botschaft in Japan, sowie das Family Business Network in Tokio.

2013| Southeast Asia

In 2013, the students embarked on a journey from Vietnam, via Singapore, to Indonesia. Within two weeks, they visited a wide range of companies, NOGs, representatives of government and trade organizations and academics from Singapore Management University. These ranged from small and medium-sized enterprises in Tasikmalaya, to the German Embassy in Jakarta, to the DHL headquarters in Singapore.

At the beginning of the course, the participants themselves decide where the journey will take them - but are then also responsible for planning and implementing the travel program together with the supervisors and lecturers. This creates unique learning and challenging experiences, made possible by as many changes of perspective as possible during the expedition.
