One-year master's in PAIR

Zeppelin University also offers one-year master's programs. To apply for the one-year master's in Politics, Administration & International Relations you require an undergraduate university degree in Economics with at least 240 ECTS points. Applicants with a qualification in an unrelated subject can unfortunately not be admitted to this program.

Structure & content

The structure and content of the one-year master's in Politics, Administration & International Relations are based on the two-year master's program of the same name. The module descriptions for that program also apply to the one-year master's.

Major Phase

6 required elective modules in semesters 1 & 2

  • to be chosen from the required elective modules of the two-year PAIR master's, a minimum of three required elective modules must be attended from the tracks International Relations & Global Politics, Political Institutions & Decisions or Public Goods & Services
  • for a track to be certified, at least two modules must be attended from the track in question


Master-Phase

  • Master's defence
  • Master's thesis


If the ZU|plus option is chosen, both of the workshops and the TandemCoaching can also be attended.

Although quite a few courses at ZU are offered in English, it is not possible to complete the PAIR degree program entirely in English. Language skills in English are preferred, while German is an absolute necessity. ZU requires very good proficiency in German language on C1 level for all degree-seeking applicants.
