Dr. Sabine Wiesmüller receives Max Weber Prize for Business Ethics for her doctoral thesis
Dr. Sabine Wiesmüller, an alumna of Zeppelin University (ZU), was awarded the "Max Weber Prize for Business Ethics" for her doctoral thesis on Tuesday. The dissertation is entitled: "The Relational Governance of Artificial Intelligence - Forms and Interactions". The prize has been awarded since 1992 by the Institut der Deutschen Wirtschaft, a research institute based in Cologne. The prize is endowed with 2000 euros.
Dr. Sabine Wiesmüller dealt with the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) in companies and the resulting need for regulation in the private sector. The focus was on the challenges for responsible entrepreneurship. In order to propose standards and norms for the use of AI, she took into account the interests of stakeholders and ethical requirements in equal measure.
Dr. Sabine Wiesmüller completed her doctorate in the Department of Economics at the "Chair of Institutional Economics, Organizational Governance, Integrity Management & Transcultural Leadership" under Professor Dr. Josef Wieland. The dissertation is available at Springer Nature Switzerland.
