Melina Schnekenbühl is a research fellow at the Chair of Public Administration and Public Policy at Zeppelin University. She contributes to the BiASE-AI project, which examines the impact of artificial intelligence on communication between public administrations and citizens.
Melina’s research interest lies in the application of language technologies and artificial intelligence to both study and enhance public service encounters. Her research examines how these technologies can re-shape interactions between citizens and government institutions, with a particular emphasis on the ethical implications of AI in the public sector, such as ensuring fairness and transparency.
Melina graduated from the University of
Konstanz with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Processing, focusing on
the theory and applications of machine language processing, and a bachelor’s
degree in British and American Studies. Prior to joining Zeppelin University,
she worked at the International Office at the University of Bayreuth.
