The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic poses a threat to health. In the past years, ZU has had to take extensive measures based on the legal pandemic regulations in order to make its contribution to interrupting the chains of infection in the population, to protect the health of members and relatives of the university, and at the same time to ensure the ability to function in all areas of ZU as far as possible.
On 03.04.2022, the legal basis for the continuation of various measures ceased to exist. This is very good news and an important moment for ZU.
Nevertheless, the fight against the pandemic is not over, let alone won. Rather, it means a change of course: Covid-19 is and will remain a disease whose course and consequences are difficult to assess, and which is likely to become part of our everyday life in the long term. It is therefore probably correct that the government's protective regulations and controls should be replaced by voluntary and self-responsible action.
Elimination of the 3-G-Rule
Prohibition of access and participation
No duty to wear masks
Hygiene guidelines
Various hygiene and protection measures are continued (e.g., rules for ventilation, disinfection dispensers, right-hand run recommendations, testing offers for employees).

The Friedrichshafen Institute for Family Enterprises | FIF at ZU, in cooperation with the company Mercateo, conducted a so-called "diary study" during the peak phase of the pandemic from March to May 2020. The study focused on the conversion to home office in many companies and the associated individual experiences and effects on everyday working life.
