The economist has been working at ZU as a visiting researcher since 2011, and has been a member of the board of directors as Vice President | Research since 2012. Kieser and Kübler-Kreß will stay in office until a new president and a new chancellor have been found and appointed. Their main task will be to manage the organization during this time, and to organize the transitionary period. Both also intend to intensively deal with the events of the recent past and to install the respective committees at ZU to do this.

A committee has been installed to search for and find a successor for the position of president. It has been in force since May and its work is expected to finish at the end of November with a recommendation for an appointment to the senate. The senate will then make a recommendation to the ZU Foundation. Currently, this is in turn intensively searching for a successor for the position of the chancellor.

Katja Völcker, who had held the position of temporary chancellor again since August, will focus on the building project of the "ZF Campus of Zeppelin University" in Fallenbrunnen 3 until she leaves ZU in 2015 as already announced.
