Veronika Bürklin
Veronika Bürklin completed her Master's degree in Communication & Cultural Management at ZU and currently works as an executive at Brunswick Group GmbH.
How did your studies prepare you for your current job?
"As an economics graduate, studying CCM gave me new perspectives and approaches. Not simply being able to prove things mathematically or statistically, but to question things from a humanities perspective was an enrichment that I wouldn't want to miss - not easy at first, but all the better afterwards."
What did you learn at ZU that is useful to you in your day-to-day work today?
"At Zeppelin University you learn to think, to think differently. Evaluating complex situations, economic contexts or social phenomena from a completely different perspective is what makes a Zeppelin student. And that is also what is useful in everyday working life. Sitting at the desk, you often find yourself in a workflow that doesn't allow you to turn left or right. Taking a second here and applying the ZU mindset helps enormously."
Do you think that your ZU studies differ from those of your colleagues who studied at another university, and if so, why?
"Zeppelin University is developing its very own breed of future decision-makers. Talking from ZUler to ZUler has its own level. This can also have certain disadvantages for everyday working life. Not everyone understands the classic ZU approach and a ZU student doesn't follow a set path."
Why would you recommend studying at ZU?
"The ZU degree program is made for people who like to be confused. For students who are looking for something different. I would recommend ZU to all of them."
