Svenja Schuhbauer studied Communication & Cultural Management at ZU and subsequently completed a Master's degree in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths, University of London. She works as a freelance studio manager and career coach for visual artists in Berlin. She gained expertise in the international contemporary art market over the last ten years, working with renowned galleries, artist studios, and museums. In 2017, she founded her own company, Atelier Management Berlin, to create professional frameworks for visual artists. In doing so, she offers artists the freedom to focus on the essentials of their work - the creative process. She sees it as her task with her offer to respond personally and strategically to individual needs and support artists in responding professionally to the high demands of the international art world.
"The interdisciplinary approach of the Communication & Cultural Management bachelor's program taught me how to quickly familiarize myself with complex processes and issues. I still benefit very specifically in my daily work from courses such as cultural financing, marketing, and art theory."
"...I think of the fact that I met some of my most valuable friends at Lake Constance."
