Marius Pawlak came to ZU for the PMG Master's after his BA studies in Political and Administrative Sciences at the University of Konstanz. Today, he works as the head of the central office of the city of Ulm.
"During my studies at ZU, I was offered special framework conditions to develop professionally and personally. I benefited greatly from the academic offerings in conjunction with the very good supervision ratio. The contact with students from other disciplines and the cooperation in projects were also very important and were deliberately provoked by the way of studying at ZU. These experiences are formative for my work, as they are contrary to the silo thinking that is very common within an administration when it comes to finding solutions to problems. This cross-sectional approach forms the basis of my work today."
"Already during my school days, I saw my professional future in the municipal service. As a rule, the state's administrative colleges offer the appropriate professional training here. However, my path led me to the University of Constance for a degree in political and administrative sciences. After completing my BA, I was looking for a course of study that was more concretely oriented towards business issues but at the same time allowed for a broad perspective and cross-sectional approaches to problems. At ZU, I found what I was looking for and began and completed my studies in Public Management and Governance (MA)."
"The mentoring relationship and the possibility to organize targeted events on topics with other interested parties was a great offer. ZU provided us with a lot of support here."
